Welcome

Welcome to my website where you can find out more about me and my role as a councillor. You can view these pages, or read my blog, to keep up to date with my involvement in local issues.

I am one of your County councillors for Chester-le-Street South.

I was born 1947 at Fence Houses and I am married to Beatrice (Beaty).  I have lived in Chester le Street for over 25 years and I am a retired Police Officer.  I have two children and six grandchildren.

Most of my time in the Durham Constabulary was spent working on the Accident Investigation Unit having attained qualifications in Advanced Accident Investigation by Mathemetics from Birmingham University and Vehicle Damage Analysis and Damage Measurements from No 6 Police Training School at Devizes, Wiltshire.

After leaving the Police Force, I obtained a Teaching Qualification in IT and taught at City of Sunderland College and Outreach Centres.  Following on from that I was contracted as a consultant/trainer, teaching IT to several organisations in the area and also in Northern Ireland.
