Welcome
Welcome to my website where you can find out more about me and my role as a councillor. You can view these pages, or read my blog, to keep up to date with my involvement in local issues.
I am one of your County councillors for Chester-le-Street North and East.
Let me first introduce myself.
I was born in 1948 in Murray Place, Chester le Street, my childhood days were spent in the Avenue's area, Chester Moor and the West Lane Estate. I attended the Secondary Modern School, Bullion Lane.
I married Allan, who is a retired Police Officer. I have two married children who have brought me great pleasure with six grandchildren. I had a wool and baby clothes shop in Chester le Street 'HOMESPUN' which I retired from to look after my grandchildren, which seems to be the done thing these days. I worked in the Co-op food hall part time where most people would have seen me.
I have lived in my present house for over 23 years, in these years I have been involved in quite a few campaigns, in my opinion, only to help the area and give people a better quality of life.
