Welcome

Welcome to my website where you can find out more about me and my role as a councillor for Fishburn and the Trimdons. You can view these pages, or read my blog, to keep up to date with my involvement in local issues.

I am one of your County councillors for Trimdon.

I am 53 years old and married to Christine.  We have 2 children Kieran (24) and Holly (22). I was elected to the council for the 1st time in May this year.  Until March 2007 I worked for the County Council, initially in Social Services and later as head of the Community Support Unit where I had responsibility for community development, crime, community safety and welfare rights.

I am well involved in my local community, having helped to create Trimdon 2000 - a regeneration project - in 1995.  I now chair the Joint Trimdons Partnership.  I am also a member of Trimdon Parish Council and I attend the Parish Council meetings in Fishburn. I am currently a School Governor at Trimdon Junior school and a former Governor of St William's RC Primary school.

I am totally committed to community based action and I believe that the unitary council provides the opportunity for communities to have more say over local services.

As your councillor I'm very interested in hearing your views on the topics that are relevant to our communities. There are a number of ways you can get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you....
