Welcome to Durham Art Gallery

The Durham Art Gallery is County Durham's largest modern and contemporary art gallery.

From January until June we have an exciting new programme of exhibitions and events exploring fine art, photography, sculpture and film from regional, national and international artists.

We are showing some of the North East's most interesting emerging artists including Jo Ray and James Johnson-Perkins with his most ambitious exhibition to date, taking all three exhibition spaces in the gallery.

Don't miss the opportunity to view the Jerwood Drawing Prize - the annual survey of contemporary, drawing-based work by artists who are living or working in the UK. This always proves to be a lively and informative show.

Look out for our extensive programme of artists' talks and workshops. They run alongside the exhibitions to give you more opportunities to learn about the exhibitions on show.

Finally, don't forget, if you like to visit the gallery regularly, you could save money by becoming a season ticket holder. A season ticket covers admission to the building for a year plus invitations to preview events and advance notice of exhibitions.
