What is Moderation?
Moderation is when content submitted through our website is not automatically published live, but is passed to a member of council staff to view before live publication.
Why do we use moderation?
Depending on the area of the website it is used on, moderation may be used for a number of reasons:
- To ensure that no defamatory etc. content is added.
- To add a reply to the information before it is published.
- To place the content in a classification structure.
All moderated areas of this website are maintained by Durham County Council's Website Administrator.
